Program Announcement
We are excited to announce that the Northern Wasco County Parks and Recreation District has received funding from the Columbia Gorge Health Council to fund the Active Rx program for the 2026 season.
If you live within the District boundary and receive benefits through OHP, WIC, or SNAP, you are eligible to participate in the Active Rx program. For the 2026 season, we have 310 discounted family season passes and 180 free swim lessons available to program participants.
2026 Program Details
Registration for the Active Rx swim lessons opens April 27 at 12 PM.
Registration is 100% online.
Family season pool passes are discounted to $25 per pass.
Swim lessons are discounted to $0 per session.
Program participants must provide proof of benefits (SNAP, WIC, OHP) during first visit of the season.

2026 Active Rx Program
Registration Process
Step 1 — Confirm You Meet the Criteria
Check the District boundary map to confirm that you live in-District.
Confirm that you or those who will be applying are currently receiving benefits through SNAP, OHP, or WIC.
Step 2 — Create Your Account or Login
Create a user account in our registration software system, DaySmart.
Create an account for every person who will be using the Active Rx benefits and attach their accounts to yours.
Step 3 — Register for Pool Passes/Swim Lessons
To register for a season pass, login to your DaySmart user account, make sure the “Location” is set to “Aquatic Center,” and select the family pass membership option to select desired family members. Then, proceed to “Checkout,” select the Active Rx pricing option, and pay the $25 copay.
To register for swim lessons, login to your DaySmart user account, make sure “Location” is set to “Aquatic Center,” and search for desired class session, class level, and time slot. Register the child for the desired class, go to “Checkout,” select the Active Rx pricing option, and finalize the transaction. Registration opens April 27, 2026 at 12 PM.
Step 3 — Prepare to Register
Carefully review the Active Rx information and policies located on this page of the website.
If you intend to register for swim lessons, preview the Swim Lesson page to find your preferred session, level, and time slot.

Step 4 — Verify Eligibility
Verify Active Rx eligibility on first visit to the pool by showing proof of current benefits to front desk staff. Proof of current benefits could be a letter, a copy of an email, or any other document that proves current receipt of benefits.
Active Rx Program Policies
Residency Requirement
All people participating in the ActiveRx program must reside within the District boundaries. Any participant found to be in violation of this policy will have their participation in the program cancelled and will forfeit any fees paid to the District. Anyone falsely claiming to reside in the District or providing false addresses in the District will have their participation in the program cancelled and will forfeit any fees paid to the District.
Photo Identification
Every individual on a family pool season pass must consent to having their photograph taken and stored in our registration software when visiting the pool for the first time. This will be used to verify identity when checking in to swim at the pool. Users in violation of this policy will have their season pass and/or swim lesson cancelled and will forfeit any fees paid to the District.
Swim Lessons
ActiveRx swim lessons are limited to one class per participant to serve as many people as possible. If you wish to sign a participant up for multiple lessons, you must pay the full registration fee for additional classes unless noted otherwise. Participants who are signed up for multiple sessions of swim lessons using ActiveRx discounts will be unregistered from all sessions.
Verification of Eligibility
