Park Reservations and Rentals

Looking for a location to host your outdoor event or gathering? We have the place for you! Whether it’s a birthday party, small get-together or large event, our parks have something for every gathering!

For smaller events less than 60 people, Shelters and Picnic Areas at Sorosis Park and Riverfront Park are available to reserve.

For larger events greater than 60 people, please contact the District office at 541-296-9533 or admin@nwprd.org to inquire about available options.

Shelter & Picnic Area Reservations

Sorosis Park (available from April 1 through October 31):

  • Lions Shelter

  • Picnic and BBQ Area

  • $25 per hour for In-District Residents

  • $30 per hour for Out of District Residents

  • Two hour minimum reservation

Riverfront Park (available from Memorial Day weekend through October 31):

  • Riverfront Park Shelter

  • No fee to reserve

  1. Use the search field parameters to identify available facilities, dates and times. Remember: your search dates must be set 14 days in advance of the current date. Entering just the dates and leaving the rest of the search fields blank will return the greatest number of reservation options.

  2. To make a reservation, click on the “New User?” button to create an online user account if you do not already have an account with our registration system. You can also create a user account Here. An online user account is required to complete the reservation and make payment.

  3. Select the facility, dates and times; fill out the required information; then proceed to checkout and pay with credit card

  4. That’s it, you’re all set to go!

Rental Reservation Policies:

  • Reservations must be made two weeks prior to the event date

  • Setup and takedown must occur during the reserved time slot

  • A fee for cleaning or damages may be assessed if the reserved area is left dirty or damaged

  • Electrical outlets at the reservable areas are normally turned off, please indicate on your reservation if you need electricity turned on

  • The fireplaces at Lions Shelter are not included in normal reservations, please contact the District office if you want to use them

  • Please do not use glitter, confetti, silly string or other decorations that are difficult to remove. Bounce houses and inflatables are not allowed without permission from the District office.

  • Please ensure all trash is placed in the receptacles at the site, it is the responsibility of the reserving party to remove all trash that does not fit in the trash receptacles. Depending on the rental impact and duration, the District may require trash dumpster service

  • Alcohol, tobacco and the use of nonprescribed drugs are not permitted

  • Vending activities are not permitted

  • Please park vehicles in designated parking spaces

All events that do not meet the parameters for Shelter and Picnic Area reservations require a Special Event Reservation

  • Events and groups larger than 60 people

  • Events that occur in park areas other than Shelter and Picnic Areas

  • Large community events and commercial events

  • Events with amplified sound or special equipment setups
