Our 2010 Spring and Summer edition of our Program Guide arrived April 4th.

The Northern Wasco County Parks and Recreation District is a special services district which was established in 1984.  (Tax Exempt ID#93-0895203). The District employees 6 full-time employees, 30 seasonal employees and recruits numerous volunteers annually. The District maintains 9 community parks and a Sports Field Complex totaling more than 150 acres . Included within these parks are multiple athletic fields, 18 hole disc golf course, outdoor roller hockey rink, tennis courts, shelters, restrooms, picnic areas, playgrounds and a 10 mile Riverfront Trail. It also operates a 50 meter community swimming pool. The District provides recreational opportunities for residents of Northern Wasco County and surrounding communities which include competitive athletic programs, cultural arts activities and special events, in addition to general recreation programs. Aquatics programs include swim instruction, water safety, swim team training, competitive events and recreational swimming.    

Our mission statement, “Building community through people, parks and programs”, reflects the core values that are shared by the dedicated staff and Board of Directors who plan, prioritize, and implement services and programs for our community.
