Your child plays for half price if you volunteer to coach a team!
We attempt to make all the teams of equal talent. This is accomplished by comparing how the players do during the Skills Assessment Day. Skills to be evaluated at the assessment day are: shooting, dribbling, passing and attitude. For this reason, we are unable to place friends on the same team unless both parents are coaching. We allow coaches to have their child on their team and for siblings to be on the same team, if they wish.
A rough evaluation of each player's skills is needed to competitively balance the teams. Since skills can change markedly in one year, all players 3rd grade and up must attend!
2nd graders: do not need to attend the skills day.
3rd/4th graders: 11:00 am
5th/6th graders: 1:00 pm
Coaches inspire kids to love the game of basketball; they set the example for their teams in good sportsmanship, enthusiasm, and work ethic. You have the most important job of all!

Youth Basketball Referees are teachers as well as judges of the game. By enforcing the rules on the court, they allow kids to effectively develop their skills in the game of basketball.
