This course is taught by certified instructors of The Dalles Rifle and Pistol Club. Participants will gain familiarity with principles of safety, cleaning, and safe shooting practices with several types of handguns.
Participants must pre-register before attending class.
If you are prohibited by State or Federal law from
possessing a fire arm you CANNOT attend this class.
Participants are asked to keep guns covered
before and after class

AGE: 18 and older (under 21 must have HS diploma)
FEE: $20.00 (participants should be prepared to purchase their own ammo and other supplies)

The Northern Wasco County Park & Recreation District in conjunction with the Dalles Rifle and Pistol Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars are sponsoring this Hunter Education course. The course is designed to teach young sports enthusiasts to be ethical, responsible and safe hunters.
NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 MAY HUNT WILDLIFE (except on their own land) WITHOUT SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETING THIS COURSE. ALL STUDENTS MUST ATTEND THE FIRST CLASS.

DAYS: Monday & Friday each week until completed
TIME: 6:30 p.m.—9:00 p.m.
FEE: $10.00 per student (accompanying adults who are not taking the course will not be charged) Money will be collected at first class.
AGE: There is no set age limit, however the class is based on a 12 year old learning level. Anyone 12 years old or younger must be accompanied by an adult at all classes. Individuals under 18 must have a responsible adult with them for the first class. Students will not be admitted to class unless these requirements are met.

REGISTRATION: Registration is limited to first 25 individuals.
