Job Title: Concessions/Front Desk Operator
Reports To: Aquatics Manager
Hourly Wage: $11.00-$12.00
Hours Per Week: 40 or less
Classification: Seasonal Part-Time, Non-Benefited
The Concessions/Front Desk Operator needs to be self-motivated and have good communication skills. The concessions and front desk operator will be assisting customers with signing up for swim lessons, buying swim passes, as well as selling and preparing food. Each NWC Aquatic Center employee is expected to develop their knowledge of our programs in order to better serve customers.
Must be age 14 or over, some college experience preferred. Must have or be able to obtain a current Oregon food handlers card and be comfortable working outdoors in heat and wind.
Bilingual Spanish/English preferred but not necessary. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and manuals. Ability to write clear reports and receipts. Ability to speak effectively with customers and other staff.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to make correct change.
It is the duty of the Front Desk/Concessions employee to provide the general public with information about aquatics activities, and process any transactions related to aquatics or concessions.
Greet patrons as they enter the facility. Promote the Aquatic Center by answering any questions from patrons regarding the facility hours, pool rentals, swim lessons, jr. lifeguard etc. Process transactions for the aquatics center and concessions. Register patrons for aquatic related activities. Prepare food items in a timely manner. Keep the front desk area neat and presentable. Adhere to all cleaning/health/food handling policies.

Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

Employees are expected to look clean and respectable at all times. They must wear the provided uniform, which consists of a Parks and Rec shirt. Approved shorts or pants will be allowed.
