COMMUNITY SUPPORT FOR BEAUTIFUL PARKS!

GREEN PARKS provides an opportunity for citizens of our community to assist in maintaining the highest standard of care for our parks. The Dalles has long been known for some of the finest parks in the Northwest, from the scenic Sorosis Park, or historic City Park, to the athletic complex at Kramer Fields. Our community has taken great pride in the quality of life parks provide to our citizens. The investment we make in these facilities will assure benefits for future generations by providing recreation opportunities ranging from quiet enjoyment to active programs.

GREEN PARKS offers each citizen the ability to donate dollars to go directly to offset the cost of watering our parks. All funds donated through GREEN PARKS will go directly to water costs. As existing resources become increasingly limited, participation in the GREEN PARKS program will have a significant impact on the quality of our parks.

It's easy to contribute to GREEN PARKS!

You can make a one-time contribution of any amount. Make a check payable to Northern Wasco County Park and Recreation District Water Fund and drop it by NWCPRD office, or

You can have $1 (or any larger amount) added to your City of The Dalles water bill each month. If each customer gave just $1 a month, each park would receive its water requirement for the year.

All funds generated through GREEN PARKS will go directly to water expenses.
