The diverse habitat offered in the Columbia River Gorge is home to a wide variety of water fowl and birds.

The Riverfront Trail offers athletic and educational opportunities for the entire family.  Starting at the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center, the ten-mile paved trail passes through Taylor Lakes, Klindt’s Cover, The Dalles Marina, and Riverfront Park and is lined with interpretive signs with information on the Lewis and Clark Trail, Rock Fort and The Dalles. At the far end of the Riverfront Trail, The Dalles Dam Visitor’s Center tells the natural and cultural history of the dam.

Whether you are a runner, cyclist, or spending the day with your family, the Riverfront Trail is an excellent destination for a summer afternoon.
